Contrariwise: Literary Tattoos
Tattoos have always fascinated me. I'm far too much of a coward to get one myself, so I tend to admire from afar.
I'm equally repelled and attracted to intricate and imaginative works of body art - on beautiful people they often look better than they deserve to, but even the most charismatic of stars can't make everything look good. The likes of Robbie Williams and Amy Winehouse seem tainted somewhat by their tattoos, in my eyes.
That said, Contrariwise documents some of the more surreal, but beautifully literary tattoos that you're likely to see. If you're a fan of Maurice Sendak's 'Where The Wild Things Are', it must seem completely natural to cover your arm, as the image above has done.
A compelling site, even for those people, like me, who aren't completely sold on tattoos.
